Baal Hamon Publishers - SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Baal Hamon Publishers' major areas of interest are Christian religious works and academic works. We also publish some biographies and works of fiction. Manuscripts considered for publication by Baal Hamon Publishers must be "at the top of the bests" in order to be recommended for publication by our editorial department.

imageThe Editorial Department at Baal Hamon welcomes and considers manuscripts submissions from various authors. For unsolicited submissions, we consider only the first chapter of the manuscript along with a detailed book plan, as well as a brief outline of the author's credentials. If our editors are interested in seeing the rest of the manuscript, they will request for it. Authors are strongly advised not to send in their entire manuscripts in the first instance.

If a  book is accepted for publication, Baal Hamon Publishers will enter into a publication contract with the author and our Marketing and Production departments will work to ensure that the book gets into print at the earliest opportunity, usually in four to six months after acceptance for publication. Some books may, however, be considered suitable for a more opportune time and the publication of such books may therefore be delayed.

Baal Hamon Publishers has marketing and distributing partners in both the United States the United Kingdom and our books are normally made available in these countries and the international market through these partners. The printing of our books are also done in the United States and United Kingdom.

Two major issues that need mentioning are 'royalties and authors' contribution to the publishing costs. Baal Hamon is a royalty publisher and will not normally request authors to make any payment towards the publication of the their books. However, it is not unusual to have some authors who prefer to "invest" in the publication of their book by carrying the financial burden of publishing the book in return for a larger percentage of the profits. Although, this is not our standard, we will be willing to negotiate with and accommodate the interests of any author who wishes to invest in the publication of their books. Notwithstanding this, the book must first pass through the Editorial department and be selected for publication like any other book we publish via the royalty standard. Royalties are paid quarterly.

A section of our Editorial Department also provides a fee-based manuscript critique service for authors who simply want to have their manuscripts assessed by us without submitting it for publication. Other fee-based author services provided include - copy editing, ghostwriting, and book designing. These are exclusively for authors intending to publish elsewhere.

If you have a book idea and manuscript that you think is publishable, please send the book plan, author's credentials and the first chapter to submissions@baalhamon.com WE PREFER EMAIL SUBMISSIONS as ATTACHMENT IN MICROSOFT WORD format.
